Koelleven Short Film: Exclusive Screening with Immersive Auro-3D Sound on 8 & 10 May.
We’re excited to announce 3 special screenings of the Koelleven short film, newly re-edited with an immersive Auro-3D soundtrack realized at Galaxy Studios.
What to expect:
An audiovisual interpretation of our experiment to approach microbes in the cooling tower basin of SCK CEN on their own terms, speculating on their ways of signalling and becoming. This latest iteration features a three-dimensional sonic landscape that deepens the experience of attuning with microbial worlds.
The 2-hour sessions include besides the projection:
- Live sound improvisation by Christophe Albertijn, building on the project’s ‘way of play’ methodology—an approach aligned with improvisational music to sonically translate the dynamics of microbial processes
- Conversation between Wilfried Van Baelen (Galaxy Studios) and the Koelleven artists exploring the cross-pollination between microbiology, philosophy, and art
- Special welcoming on the 8th by Greet Van Tiggelen, First Alder(wo)man of Mol for Culture, Library, Nature, Green Spaces & Events.
Screening dates:
- May 8, 2026, 8pm
- May 10, 2026, 11am & 2pm
Address – Galaxy Studios, Kievitstraat 42, 2400 Mol
